I never eave it a thought, thinking they would send In the bill for the five dollars. On Saturday I was served with a sum mons to appear at police court on Monday, 14th. In the Fire Chiefs evidence he said the firemen had to go on the roof. Now If they were on the roof they must have seen the two chim ney ladders, one on each side. Still the Fire Chief asked m when I had my chimney cleaned last I told him last September. He asked me how I got on the roof as there were no ladders. One of the firemen told my wife the chimney was cold. ! Now, Mr. Editor, in the riameiofi fair play I don't think I got a fair deal paying for a fire call that somebody sent in by mistake.
