The result of the game was severe defeat for Kitkatla but Kltkatla did hot forget. Her teams. got busy and, after much enthus iastic work at home, sent a chal lenge o Metlakatla. Henry Brown supplied transpor tation and the party was landed at about 1:30 and was received at the home of Mr. Campbell where tea was served and the guests were welcomed. The game between the junior teams resulted In victory for Met lakatla. the score friing 7 to 13. But in the following game, which was eagerly watched by the enthusiastic spectators, Kltkatla won, the score being 5 to 6. The victory was a credit to Kltkatla in that Kltkatla has just begun to. play softball this year. . After the ball games the visitors were shown over the village. The new hall under construction and planned by Peter Leighton was of interest. The large church, the water supply from the mountains and the electric plant were also worthy of note. The Metlakatla people are making splendid pro gress. At six dinner wai served at the Church Army Hall and Kltkatla people were not left In doubt of the ability of the Metlakatla ladles to cook and bake. After dinner speeches were In order.
