It is very desirable that Premier Bennett should be impressed but, if the boys are communists, it is hia policy that has made them what they are. PARLIAMENT STILL BUSY It was announced early in the year that the session of Parliament was to be a brief one in order that an adjournment might be taken and an election held. Now, although it is past midsummer, the House is still in session and the government, which by the by is Mr. Bennett, is bringing down some of the most important legislation of the whole session and is rushing it through. It is possible that everything may be finished up this week but even that is not certain. HOW THINGS CHANGE! In his address to the Chamber of Commerce a few days ago, Hon. Dr. G. M. Weir, minister of education, spoke of the time when a member was elected in the east who openly advocated annexation of this country to the United States. No one, publicly at least, would advocate , the policy of annexation. They do not ad vocate this openly for the system smacks too much of Jascism and might be copied. Also it is illegal to advocate violent overthrow of the povpmment.
