Tracing briefly the two main theories in thjs connection, namely the prc-mlllenlal and the post-mlllenlal theories, the speaker showed that boUi were based pn the book of Revelation which was written for a special purpose to cheer the Christians in their persecution under fmp?rial Rome and, consequently could notjle taken as a prediction of the future.
