Co.'s service boat Algie, report hav ing had a very successful trip to Ketchikan. night for the north and, on arrival at Ketchikan, was given a hearty i welcome. A banquet was held In their honor with some 250 persons, including the mayor, being present. On Friday night the local troup presented a concert and on Saturday a play, there being full houses on both occasions. The greatest possible hospitality was extended by the people of "The First City." Return home was to have been made Sunday morning but, by special request, the party stayed over so that some might participate in the funeral of Gust Olsen, prominent Ketchikan man and one of the leaders of the Normanna Male Chorus, who died last Wednesday. Owing to the illness of Charles Holmen, the conductor, Peter Lien, conductor of the Varden : Singers, directed the Normanna Chorus at the funeral service and Inge Valen assisted as a soloist. The Varden Singers also sang at the funeral. Mr. Olsen was agent for years of the Deep Sea Fishermen's Union at Ketchikan and had been a mem ber of the city council there. He is survived by a widow and two sons.
