In these days of international threats the jjusi 01 ioreign secretary must be filled by one of the country's best men. Sir Anthony Eden, a young man who has the reputation of being a clever diplomat of the new school, is also in the cabinet. The new cabinet is, doubtless, an election cabinet. The reaction of the country to the changes will be watched with much interest because labor has been increasing in strength of late. The fight will be between the present National government and the Laborites, the former with strong leaders and the other without any outstanding man at the head of the party. Looking at the situation from this distance and without considering factors that may possibly arise between now and election day, it would seem likelv that the present government at Westminster may be sustained with a smaller majority than at present. There is also a possibility of a few Liberals holding the balance of power. HOLIDAYS IN THE COUNTRY This is the time of year when people begin to consider how they will spend the holidays. We should like to suggest that they look around the neighborhood and select one of the various holiday resorts within easv reach. This paper is today advertising several places which should appeal to those who prefer rural life to the big cities. How many local people have ever visited Lakelse, Tlell, Massett? Why go south when there are such splendid attractions in the neighborhood. mtib w Taxi 99 The latest In motor transportation 3 CAR SERVICE Stan Moran, Proprietor GROTTO TAXI 456 Three Cars at your ervlce.
