Bacon, popu-i lar pioneer residents of this city, celebrated their silver wedding an niversary with a delightful party their home on the Government Vfharf. The evening was enjoyably spent ln singing and dancing un til an eatly hour in the morning. There were appropriate speeches by old friends and delicious refresh ments were served. The rooms were prettily decorated with fall flowers and foliage. Numerous beautiful gifts testified to the popularity and esteem ln which the couple are held.
