A. Found, deputy minister of fisheries from Ottawa, will be ' a matter of considerable interest and importance in local fisheries quarters halibut and salmon alike. Dr. Found s personal observations while on the coast as well as the representations which are made to him usually have their rearing on regulations for the fol- . lowing year While in the city he will meet representatives ol the various branches of the industry as well as departmental officials. Just now they have been blowing off his place near the entrance to Jap Inlet. He says the herring may be taken with gill nets at any time of year but, owing to the fact that they are In pockets near the bottom.
