The vessel struck a rock and sank, being later washed ashore. Tor geirson made his escape personally and It is possible some salvage may be possible. What would be donei about this had not been decided up to this afternoon. Capt. Torgeirson made a belated report to the police today. Torgeirson and Capt. John Freld-ham. in another boat. Victory F., were coming over together from Skidegate with the idea of doing some hunting in the vicinity of Bonilla Island. Both boats were caught in the big gale of two weeks ago today and' .both were cas,t ashore. The Victory F. was not badly damaged and was later able to .come on in with Torgeirson also on board. They arrived October 27 and hare been here since. The Unity was 36 feet long and equipped with a 10 h.p. Imperial gas engine. There was no insurance. A. Bix was this morn- log .notified by wire of the death at Everett, Wash., of Henry Edenshaw ol Massett, Queen Charlotte Isl ands. Deceased was sixty-five years pi age. Mr. Edenshaw was the son of one of the most outstanding and pro gressive Indian chiefs of the Haida nation noted for his iriendliness to the early missionaries. Henry had been one .of the standard-bearers of the Church of England on the Islands since boyhood and re cently had the distinguished honor of being appointed lay delegate from the diocese to the general .sy nod of the Church at Toronto where he created a very favorable impression. Mr. Edenshaw was the owner of a fish packing boat with his son, Douglas. This boat they operated jointly. He had a number of daughters who are married and living in different' parts of the province. Mrs. Fred Nash of Terrace is one of the daughters. The remains will be brought home to Massett for burial.
