fiat rotm R During the past sixty-five years there have been in our national life periods of great prosperity and of economic stress, years of war and peace, of epidemics and unusually good health, crop failures and abundant harvests. Throughout these years the Mutual Life of Canada has steadily grown from a group of five hundred policyholders in 1870 to a group of over 141,000 at the close of 1934 during this year the number of policyholders increased by over 2,500. At the close of each year the insurance in force has exceeded that of the preceding year. THERE IS A REASON Since its inception every dollar of profit has been returned to policyholders as premium refunds, or is . held in trust for their benefit, resulting in low ntt cost insurance. This record combined with a high quality of service has built up this Urge body of satisfied policyholders. - OWNED BY POLICYHOLDERS In 63 years the Company has disbursed under Insurance Contracts over $183,000,000 (of ubicb $59,000,000 represents dividends to living policyholders Hi ere are many evidences that the pendulum is swinging towards better times. We hope that all pans of Canada will share in this general improvement. c Happy Neiv Year To All MUTUAL IIFE WATERLOO IOF CANADA. EiUbtiiftcd 1869 NEW ROYAL HOTEL J.
