Mine to Market Despite Loss Of Bridge Last Fall John M. Wilson of Tclkwa, one of. the operators of the Avellng mine in that district, was here yes terday on his way back to the interior after having spent the past couple of months In the south. It was Mr. Wilson and his associates who had the misfortune in the big floods of last fall to have a bridge w.hich.they had thrown across the Telkwa River in order to bring out their coal washed out just when they had the bunker at the mine filled with coal and orders on hand for the product. This put them entirely out of business as far as shipping was concerned and de prived them of the possibility of taking advantage of the good coal market of the past winter. Mr. Wilson's Intention now fs, if possible, to bring coal out across the ice on the Telkwa River and ship the fuel that Is in the bunkers. The hope is that the government j will replace the necessary bridge. I Mr. Wilson arrived from the j south on the Prince George yester-.day and proceeded to the interior Jon last night's train. While in Vlc-Itoria, he interviewed the public works department with a view to having the bridge replaced. Hotel Arrivals Royal J. Clausen, city; T. S. Umpleb? and R. DouglasVancouver.
