Lee Ellen- wood of California In an address at the local Pentecostal Assembly Wednesday night. Basing his remarks on the latter part of the fifth chapter and the first part of the sixth chapter of Genesis he referred to Cain as - the first murderer, to Seth as a Godly leader, to Samech as the first bigamist and to Tubalcaln as the inventor of instruments of cruelty. "As It was before the flood, so shall It be in the days preceding the coming of the Lord. They are marrying and re-marrylng," declared the visiting pastor, quoting from Mathews 24: 37 and 38. Mr. Ellenwood referred to the ease with which divorces could be obtained these .days. Statistics showed that one out of every seven persons married In the United States were divorced. The United States spent thirteen million dol lars every year to fight crime. Yet there were more armed crim inals and racketeers at large than men in tne combined army, navy, marines and police forces. The speaker also pojnted out that, Just as there were preachers of righteousness before the flood such as Enoch and Noah, warn lng the people, so In these days was there world-wide preaching of the Gospel preparatory to the Coming of the Lord and the Great Tribulation. On Thursday night Pastor El lenwood spoke on the subject of "The Value of the Human Soul." Ethiopia and Mussolini Another large .crowded church last night heard Evangelist Ellenwood speak on the subject, "Ethio pia in the Light of Bible Prophecy." Rev. Ellenwood stated that there are at least mty references to Ethiopia In the Bible where it is known under its ancient name of "Cush." In the end it was to fall to a "king of the north," identified by Bible students as Mussolini Later on there was the possibility of revolt with an alliance to another group of nations that was to figure greatly In the coming Battle of Armegeddon. From Daniel II, Rev. Ellenwood predicted that Egypt and the Holy Land would also fall eventually to Mussolini or his successor. The present dictator of Italy was engaging in a plan which aimed to convert Italy into an empire, again making the Mediterranean into an "Italian lake." The evangelist plans anothei prophetic message for next Friday night entitled "The Past, Present and Future of the Jew." Hotel Arrival , Royal C. Smallwood, Vancouver. Prince Rupert A.
