The highest bid of the week for Canadian fish was 10.9c and 6c paid the Pair of Jacks for 12,000 pounds and the low 8.3c and 6c received by the Signal for 26,000 pounds. For American hali but the, top price of the week was 11.4c and 7c which the Hazel H. was paid for 17,500 pounds and the low 9c and 7c which the Sherman and Tahoma were paid for catches of 14,500 and 38,000 pounds re spectively. A very good run of chum salmon for the seiners was reported at Prince Rupert from Queen Char lotte Island waters, during the past week. Glllnetters on the Skeena River also had a good run of co-hoes. The Canadian Fishing Co.'s cannery at Lagoon Bay, Moresby Island, having closed down, the Queen Charlotte Island chums are being taken by the saltery at Jed- nery at Namu ion the mainland With salmon fishing being closed for the season, last evening In all parts of Prince Rupert district with the exception of Queen Charlotte Islands and Rivers Inlet, all canneries In the district have closed but one the Namu plant.
