The music was led by a large choir under the leadership of Charles McNeil of Klncolith. Members of the choir were robed In surplices and college mortar board caps. Their work reflected careful training and was much appreciated. For the evening service the church was crowded. The service consisted of a brief prayer period and a . sacred concert by the New Metlakatla choir and orchestra. This event was outstanding and would have done credit to any large city church. The choir mas ter was Ben Haldane who Is a genuine musical genius. Besides the Easter Day services, there were services on Good Fri day and Easter Monday. The Kln colith choir provided the music for the former. For the latter the Kit katla choir,' with their new. sur jjlces and mortar board caps, pro vided the music. Tills choir is well known In Prince Rupert and thcl aevciopea, its excellence. The Church Army was 'not left out of the celebration. On Good Friday-evening there was a meeting in; the Church Army Hall led 'iy the Bishop. The hall was full ind a most helpful meeting was held. On Saturday evening this splendid branch of the church in Caledonia held another meeting When the building was crowded to the doors, the gathering being most enthusiastic. On Monday afternoon a meeting was held by the Greenville corps )l thcChurch Army. Every day banquets were held to which the two hundred visitors were invited and as many of the adult residents as could be ac-j commodated. Splendid refreshments were served and many eloquent addresses were heard. Fine music indeed was furnished by the Qreenville. Kitkatla and Klncolith bands under the leadership respectively of Fred McKay, Henry Brown and Charles McNeil. Chief Edward Gamble and Henry Collison provided two of the ban quets. There were also feasts by the White Cross Society, the Ladios' Rxcclslqr Club and the Young Womcrfs Christian Association. One of the features of the service was the assistance given by the Jay readers Samuel McKay of Greenville, James Stewart of Kln colith, and Matthew Shaw and William Ridley of Kitkatla. The church has cost over $10,000 practically all-of which money ha.r been raised by the Kitkatla people themselves and It stands to their credit as a monument of sacrifice and devotion.
