Miss Harrison will leave here two weeks from today to attend the convention at which it is ex pected practically every superin tendent of nurses In the country will be present. Business at the meeting of. the board, which lasted less than half an hour, was largely of a routine nature. Those present were W. M. Brown, chairman, G. V. Wilkinson, G. P; Tinker, Frank Dibb and S. O Maodonald, directors; H. W. Birch, managing director, and Miss Jean Harrison R.N., lady sup erintendent. A report from Fire Chief J. R. Milk Price Higher In view of the railway tie-up, Valentin Dairy advised the board that It would be Impossible for it to continue to supply the hospital with milk at the contract figure of 33c per gallon as It cost 36c per gallon to g'efthe'rhilk here from Vancouver. The dairy asked 40c per gallon until after the railway tie-up was ended but the board decided to offer 38c per gallon. It was decided to order direct from the makers' new food covers for patients' trays. Inquiries had been made of local dealers but they were not Interested In the business. The house committee reported that there was still trouble in re gard to leaks In the hospital roof. The matter was left In the hands of the committee. The lady superintendent reported the hospital fairly busy at this time. The grounds committee reported hospital grounds and gardens in good shape. The finance committee reported disbursements for the month of May amounting to $3965.67 with 1603 hospital days at a cost pe day of $2,47.
