WHIFFLETS From the Waterfront Work For Aircraft is Lining; Up First Tourist Boat hi This Morn-ing Prince Charles to Vancouver. After having carried out a Job of freighting in mining supplies from Burroughs Bay in Beam Canal back of Ketchikan into the Unuk River country, Pilot Bill Holland of Vancouver with his Stlnson monoplane returned to Prince Rupert at 9:30 Saturday night from the north. Pilot Holland came north last week from Vancouver to carry out this Job for Pilot Charlie Elliott whose Junkers seaplane has been held down here for the past week awaiting the arrival of parts from Winnipeg following an engine breakdown. These parts arrived yesterday, enabling the Junkers to get back Into the air and the Stlnson to take up other work. Early this week Pilot Elliott has some freighting of mining supplies to carry out from Stewart after which he will proceed to the interior to carry out some freighting work from Fort St. James into the Omlneca mining area, Elliot Is hopping off for Stewart this afternoon. First Alaska tourist boat of the season, C. P. R. steamer Princess Louise, Capt. S. K, Gray, was in port from 8 to 10 o'clock this morning northbound from Vancouver to Skagway with a passenger list of 175 persons consisting largely of round trippers. The Princess Louise, which has a heavy freight cargo for Skagway, will be back again Saturday afternoon southbound. Four passengers disembarked from the Princess Louise here while sixteen went north aboard her. Union steamer Catala, Capt.
