IMPRESSIVE MARRIAGE High Nuptial Rites This .Morning For Miss Mary Comadina and Godfrey Phillip Lyons With the impressive rites of high nuptial mass celebrated by Rev. Father Maurice Smith, assisted by Rt. Rev. E. M. Bunoz, Bishop of Northern British Columbia and the Yukon, the marriage of Miss Mary Catherine Comadina, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Comadina of this city, and Godfrey Ppillip Lyons took place at 9:30 this morning in the Church of the Annunciation before a large congregation of friends of this well known and very popular young couple. The service was fully choral. The bride, charming i.ln Grecian style white velvet wedding dress with veil held in place by coronet of orange blossoms, and small train, entered the church upon the arm of her father as the Wedding March was played by Charles P. Balagno. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and orchids as well as a prayer book, A white velvet cape completed the wedding costume. Mrs. Webster Pierce, sister of the brjdet wearing yellow moire with turban hat to match and carrying a bouquet of pink carnations, was matron of honor. Walter Smith was groomsman. Ushers were Frank and John Comadina and Eugene Fitzpatrick. Reception Later Following the marriage ceremony, the bridal party and many f riends repaired to the nearby home of the bride's parents where a re ception was held. The happy couple received congratulations and best wishes beneath a white wedding bell with pink' streamers. Pink and white were used in the decorative scheme for the rooms, streamers being held in place with rosebud knots. The scene was very attrac tive. The bride's table was centred with a handsome three-tier wed ding cake which was duly cut by the bride. There was a beautiful hand embroidered table cloth. Pink tapers and streamers made the table very attractive. Delicious refreshments were served. The bride's mother and Mrs. Thomas Andrew assisted In receiving, A toast to the bride was proposed by Father Smith and responded to by the groom. Farewelled by numerous friends, this afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Lyons sailed aboard the steamer Catala for a Jhree weeks' honeymoon tour to Vancouver and elsewhere in the south. The bride wore a going away costume of brown dress, coat and hat. They will return here to take up residence on Green Street. Mrs. Lyons has been identified with the staff of the Northern Brl tlsh Columbia Power Co, for som years. She has uvea here since childhood and is a highly esteemed member of the younger et.
