The hour opened with the audience! singing "The Man on the Flying! Trapeze." Miss Venetia Feero and Miss Bonny Perkins delighted with .piano solos. Ask Changes In Navigation Aids on Coast At Its meeting last night, the Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce, by resolution, asked for a number of changes in navigation aids following the reading of reports from the navigation and railways committee. It asks for a more efficient and modern fog horn at Bonllla Island and an efficient unwatched light at Butterworth Rocks. The Chamber also asked that the radiotelegraph station at Dead Tree Point be moved to Bonilla Island where it would be more useful to navigation. It also asked that the radio beacon at Dead Tree be moved to Cape St. James at the southern end of the Queen Charlottes, that a bell buoy with light be estab lished at Hammer Rocks, that lighted buoys be placed -at Alex ander' Patch and Petrel Rock, the latter replacing the light at Klna han Island. It also asked that the department of marine re-establish two range lights and instal a radio beacon at Coast Island, place a two-way fog horn at Green Island and a light and fog bell at Halliday island. " - Break I Proposal For A . - II Airport Here Chamber of Commerce Itcfers Suggestion to the Oil Companies In the City The Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce last night decided to' give details of the requirements ln J order to secure a seaplane anchorage ln the harbor to the four local oil companies and ascertain if they have any proposal to submit, 1 For some time the chamber hasj been trying to secure an airport i landing ln the neighborhood but has been unable to satisfy the authorities. They require the placing of two mooring buoys, a small wooden slip and dock for beaching aircraft, refuelling facilities, a wind cone and transportation and telephonic facilities.
