DISTILLED, MATURED AND BOTTLED IN SCOTLAND T11IKD AVENUE DAILY EDITION oP Friday, July 31, 1936 VISIT OF PRINCE DAVID Prince Rupert should be rather pleased to find itself included on the list of ports of call for the tourist steamer Prince David. For the passengers to spend a day at this port was an indication that the port is being made attractive to tourists and is generally becoming known as a place for people to visit. Wnat is needed now is more improvements. We must have a few smaller totems to round out the collection. We want Totem Park considerably improved or perhaps it would' be better to say completed. Considering that the poles were up only a week or two before the tourist boats began to arrive it is in excellent condition. Some improvement each .year and the park will be a credit to the city. So too with the two sunken gardens, one at the railway park and the other at the back of the 'court house, both of which will doubtless be improved each year and, with the general co-ODeration of the citv and the individual citizens, we should in a few years have a city of which to ue piuuu aim uisu one inai au Doais coming norm will want to Visit with a reasonable stop-off for passengers.
