Reviewing the Dominion debt problem, Major Brown-outlined a solution to provide retirement of the domestically held debt as it becomes due by the issuance of non-interest bearing currency which automatically would be extinguished over a fifty-year period at a two percent annual rate. BUNKHOUSE DESTROYED Oceanic Cannery Visited by Another Fire at First of Week-Fishermen Lost Effects Oceanic cannery on Smith Island at the mouth of the Skeena River, the main cannery building of which was destroyed the latter part of last July, was again visited by fire at noon on Sunday last when the main bunkhouse was destroyed. It was a two-storey frame building about 25 by 75 feet. The fire was caused by a defective chimney and, within ten minutes after the flames broke out. the whole struc ture was in full blaze.
