It is to this age that Premier Mussolini points as he urges his people to emulate his countrymen of two thousand years ago. The point he misses is that people, customs' and ideals have chanced. However, me uoman ideal 11 adapted to modern times is all right, and we might well apply it tor Canada. We,'as Canadians, come from all parts of the world, but mostly from different parts of Europe. Our forefathers owed allegiance to different kings or other rulers. They spoke different languages. It may be considered a difficult matter to weld them into one nation. The melting pot is the public school where both in the schools and in the playgrounds the children mingle and become, not young English, Norwegian Italian, Esthonian, Dutch or Russians. They become Canadians. No matter who were our forefathers, we can all help to make these youngsters good Canadians, prime! of their country and ready to sacrifice much in her behalf. The children, better than any, can celebrate tomorrow the birthday of their own country, Canada. We are glad to know that the school teachers use their influence to teach Canadianism and at this time we urge parents of whatever nationality to train their offspring to become citizens of Canada, willing to do their part in making of this a great country of which all may be proud. At other times we may discuss the question of the British Commonwealth but tomorrow is Dominion Day and it is the time to consider making this a great Dominion.
