He has drawn special attention to Prince Rupert and its importance by giving a Prince Rupert dinner at the House oi Commons at which were present six cabinet members as well as a number of senators and members of the House of Commons. At this dinner Prince Rupert, fish was served and Prince Rupert was, the-subject of discussion, the member for this district taking advantage of the occasion to impress'the diners with the varied possibilities of the port and potentialities of the district. Collision in London It is not often that there are railway accidents in England. That makes it all the more spectacular when, om occurs such as that which killed a dozen people yesterday and injured a large number. It seems that even under the best possible conditions there is bound to be an element of risk in any kind of travel. But of course there is risk in staying at home and going about the ordinary duties of life. Planning Big Event Evidently the celebration of the coronation of the King is to be made one of the big events, of the year in Prince Rupert as well as in other parts of the Empire. A strong committee has the arrangements in hand and a fund has been started for carrying out the plans in a proper manner; The heartiest co-operation of the whole community is asked in this local expression of loyalty to the Crown and through it to the whole Empire. Italian Rout The newspapers have all carried stories of the rout of a section of the Italian army in Spain by the loyalists. The men were Italian volunteers who had enlisted in the Fascist cause in the hope of turning the tide of battle against the government forces and ending the war. Evidently they found the going much more difficult than they expected. One correspondent says it was a bitterly fought seven day battle. On the final day three Italian divisions oi five thousand men each were put to rout by co-operation of planes, tanks and infantry. This correspondent says he saw the battlefield, the booty, the prisoners and the dead. BEDDING Simmons Better Bedding Week starts Monday, April 5th. Simmons Mattresses are built for sleep.
