Rorle, the hospital board last night re commended the document for the adoption of .the Prince Rupert Gen eral Hospital Association at the an nual meeting, date of which was set for January 26. The regular monthly meeting of the board of directors of the Prince Rupert General Hospital was held last night. The session lasted for almost three hours, a good deal longer than usual, there being considerable business of an extraordinary nature, including planning of a new hospital flnan cjal campaign and preparations for the annual general meeting later In the month. Before the close of last night's hospital board meeting, the final one of the 1936 board, W. M. Brown, chairman, expressed appreciation of co-operation and assistance that had been extended him during the past year by members of the board, managing secretary and lady superintendent. It had been a pleasant and, In large mea sure, a successful year, he believed, and he expressed the hope that 1937 would be another good year for the hospital. By this time next year he hoped there would be a new hospital building. During last night's regular meet ing of the hospital board discussion arose on the question as to whether certain affairs pertaining1 to the hospital, more particularly on this occasion as to finances, should receive press publicity. W. M. Brewn, chairman of the board, expressed the belief that this was a matter which might receive early attention from the new board for this year with a view to deciding on a line of policy. Members of the board expressed appreciation of co-operation that had always been extended by the press to the hospital. A letter from the Trail, hospital, tecelved at last night's meeting of the local hospital board, asked for Information in regard to charges for pneumo-thorax and x-ray treatment given at the hospital' under the new tuberculosis service of the provincial government. The Trail board will be informed that a charge of $1 Is made for x-ray examinations while the pneumothorax treatment is administered by the local tuberculosis doctor outside of the hospital.
