UNITED IN MARRIAGE Interesting Nuptials Last Night Of Miss Lillian Lowe and George Peters An event of outstanding Interest uniting a very well known and widely popular local couple took place last evening in FiVst United Church, Rev. C. D. Clarke officiating, when Miss Lillian Marguerite Lowe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Lowe of Uiis city, became the bride of George Edward Peters, son of Mrs. Isabel Peters, formerly of this city and now re siding in Victoria. There was a large congregation in attendance at the nuptials. Four generations of the bride's family were present at the rites. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion and the bride entered the church upon the arm of her father, by whom she was given in marriage, as Miss Swana Olafson played the Wedding March. The bride was lovely in a beautiful gown of white satin cut in Princess lines with Victorian lace collar and veil caught up with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses and lllles-of-the-valley. The bridesmaid was Miss Ella Steen who had a dainty gown of ; yellow net with hat to match and carried a bouquet of mauve and yellow stocks. The matron of honor, Mrs. E. P. Reception Follows Following the church ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride V parents, Fifth Avenue West. The happy couple received congratulations and best wishes beneath a white wedding bell which was suspended from an arch or yellow and white. The bride's mother, who assisted in receiving, wore an attractive gown of delph blue with hat to match and cor- 'sage of pink roses. The toast to the bride was pro-I posed by Rev. C. D. Clarke and the i groom responded suitably. The j toast to the matron of honor and bridesmaid was proposed by W. M; Watts and responded to by the jroomsman. Telegrams of congratulations from relatives were read. The bride's table was lovely, centered with a three-tier wedding cake which was cut by the bride. There was a lace cloth with yellow tapers and white hearts. Mrs. J. Fred Ritchie and Mrs. G. VV. Nlc-kerson poured. Mrs. James Batt cut the cake and scrvlteurs were Mrs. T. W. Brown, Mrs. J. DeCarlo, Mrs. William Rogers, Miss Anne Boddie, Miss Ruby Krikevsky and Mrs. T. Eraser. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Peters sailed on the Prince Rupert for a month's honeymoon trip to Vancouver, Victoria and as far south as Los Angeles. The bride's going away costume was a rust ensemble with brown accessories and corsage bouquet of cream roses. On their return here the couple will reside on Fifth Avenue West. Mr. and Mrs. Peters will have the hearty congratulations and best wishes of numerous friends. The bride has lived here since girlhood and for some years has been a member of the office staff of the Ranee and Hardy grocery. The groom Is in ithe service of the Canadian National Railways.
