Barker, veteran pursr tf the British Columbia Coast Steamship Service, here yesterdiy afternoon aboard the Princess Louise, was completing his final voyage after thirty-five years of service on the coast. At the conclusion of this trip, he goes on vacation after which he will retire on superannuation; Mr. Barker has served on practically all vessels of the company's fleet and on every run during his long career. He ran Into Prince Rupert as early as 1905 as assistant purser on the Princess Beatrice. For the past several years he has been senior purser on the Alaska ships.
