Of cXHADA 4.85 Men's Greb Work Boots 3.45 TERMS OF SALE CASH EDITORIAL THE FALL CELEBRATION .;Jt has been suggested by a prominent local business- ,luiiia'r aiuce me annual ian iair seems to nave been abandoned, the city, should take up a celebration more suited To its' seaboard situation. A regatta, it is claimed, would be. mucli more in keeping with a seaport town than an ordinary fall fair or rodeo or any of the public entertainments put on in the past. Ittis pointed out that one of the objections to the regatta form of holiday entertainment is that no fee can be charged for viewing the show. The answer to this is that no fee should be necessary. What is necessary to pay all e-xpenses such as prizes and advertising is that the people, should contribute as liberally as possible, The Horticultural Society will take care of the flower show which might even be carried out at the same time as the regatta, if found feasible. The celebration would prove attractive to the residents of the surrounding district, most of whom live on the water and would upprecU ate an event of that kind, it is thought. We pass on this suggestion and ask for sympathetic consideration. Fireworks and other evening entertainment might well be included as well as novelties of various kinds, possibly sideshows. The suggestion should set people thinking along these lines with a view to action of some kind being taken in the near future to set the ball lolling.
