President Ken Harding presided over the meeting. The program was in tht form of a musicale and was arranged by Wilfrid Hicks. "Swing" music Is now accepted as a popular form of music and receives the criticism of the critics like any other form of music does. The first musical item was tht playing of the first two movements of Beethoven's beautiful "Moonlight Sonata" played by Miss Marybelle Stiles. The music was made more effective by the reart- lng by Miss Edith Connery of the (story of how Beethoven came to compose this "opus." As a pleasing diversion from the classical rrjuslc, Miss Eileen Hamb- lln sang a modern number, "Sympathy." She was accompanied on the piano, by Miss Phyllis.
