PAOE TOUR REMO HAS SPORT DAY Physical Education Display, Rices, Games and Supper REMO, May 27: A very W en- Joyable sports day was held here on Victoria Day. Almost everyone In the vicinity came in to take part. Miss Annie Lips, the teacher, was in charge. The program began at two o'clock with a physical education display by the pupils of the school. Then races and other contests were held. Some of the competitors showed remarkable athletic ability. The adults were as whole-heartedly enthusiastic as the children. When the races were over, the school softball team, Remo Strawberry Growers, played a local team, the Remo Hawks. The game was finished after supper and Strawberry Growers were victorious. Ice cream and lemonade were served at intervals during the course of the afternoon. I Mrs. Lindstrom, assisted by the! other ladies present, served a delicious supper in the school about six o'clock. Miss Lips made a jpeech, thanking all those who had helped to make the day a success and distributed the prizes to the winners of the contests.
