The Burns Lake Community Hall, which was destroyed by fire last week, was partially covered by insurance but, nevertheless, its destruction was a great loss to the town as it was one of the finest halls in the district. It was about half ah hour after the starting of the show that the fire broke out through an air vent leading into the roof, the re sult of film breaking and becom ing Ignited in the lamp. The fact that the projection room was fire proof enabled the audience to es cape quietly and safely. The fact that the wind was down coupled with the hard work of the fire fighters prevented the flames from spreading. The new pumps of the Forest Branch did splendid work In pumping water from the lake.
