J. S. Hewl-son, fisheries guardian at Yakoun River, which flows Into Massett Inlet, says he has never seen Ue river so low. Owing no doubt to the low water, the pink salmon are hardly showing up in Massett at all this year so far although Capt. Ed. Crawford of Port Clements and others report the salmon showing up in big schools outsidi the inlet. Capt. Andrew Brown of Old Massett says the salmon wHi not move into Massett Inlet untii it rains and the streams become fuller.
