Finally, after some vicissitudes,-there is a happy reunion. Others in the cast include Robert Benchley and Mickey Rooney. "Trapped in the Alps" Is a screen adaptation of the London stage-success "Dusty Ermine." The story concerns crime from a new angle, depicting the struggles of a convict of prominent family to go straight after he has served a penitentiary term for forgery. Most of the action takes place In the splenudor of the Austrian Alps where the scenes were actually filmed. TEACHERS HONORED Presentations to Miss E. A. Mercer And J. S. Wilson At a meeting of the staff of the Booth Memorial School yesterday afternoon presentations were made to Miss E. A. Mercer, principal, and to J. S. Wilson, vice-principal, on behalf of the teachers of that school. In making the presentation to Miss Mercer, Mr. Wilson referred to the very happy times the mem bers of the staff had always had This was in a very large degree due to the fine leadership and in spiration of Miss Mercer. Her un selfish and untiring efforts on b-. half of the children were an incentive to her fellow teacners.' Her progressive outlook and personal interest in teacher and pupil had made teaching under her a pleasure. She could be assured of te very highest regard of the teachers who would always treasure happiest memories of a delightful association. In accepting the gift of a presentation silver spoon, Miss Mercci said she had always considered herself very fortunate in having a loyal staff. It made her work Dleasant and would ever -give her haDpy memories too. The gift itself was something she had desired so that she was doubly pleas ' ed with the gift and the expression of their regard from her fellow teachers. Mr. Wilson was taken by sur prise when, on behalf of the staff ! Miss Martin presented him with a handsome pajr of book-ends. Reference was made to the wholehearted cp-operation Mr. Wilson had always given and his Irish wit had helped many a time. Mr. Wil- 1 son felt highly honored by the Dresentatlon.
