He had attended a similar event In Montreal, where 1000 pecple sat down togetner. By encouraging snorts the railway officials felt that they were building up the spirit of loyalty which was a great benefit. The president was keen 'to 'have all built up physically ir ordcr that they might give better service. There was only one mouthpiece for the C.N.R. and that was Sir Henry. Making announcements was left entirely to him, so he. the speaker, would not tell them what the C. N. proposed to do. He thanked them for the opportunity of attending the banquet and said if their plans for the railway succeeded the numbers should be two or three times that present at such an event in the next few years. In responding to the toast of "Our City," Acting Mayor Collart urged that all take an active Interest in the Peace River to Prince Rupert movement. When he saw the success of this large recreation organization, he also felt that larger organization to back up the movement to connect Prince Rupert with the Peace River should succeed. The acting mayor spoke of the benefits of such a league as that represented there.
