Bearing Burns Out In Dixon's Entrance, with the gale still raging, the Vivian burned out a forward connecting rod bearing. Captain. Warner managed to get aboard the disabled vessel with a skiff and after two hour of roll-in the trough of the seas got a new bearing run. The two vessels reached Kctch- kan at 3 o'clock this morning, having battled with gale and sea for more than forty hours. Vander Well was taken to the Ketchikan General Hospital where he will receive medical care. The marine surgeon here says that one knee cap ls; chipped, which may result m a permanently stiffened leg.
