to
whether

change
in
ownership
of

steamers

Charles

John

transfer

Queen
Charlotte
Islands
service
will
benefit
Prince
Rupert
or
not.
It
is
pointed
out
that
the
Union
Steamship
Company
has
been
in
the
habit
of
having
its
ships
overhauled
in
the
south
and
that
it
never
gives
work
of
that
kind
to
a
local
yard.
This
would
be
a

of
a
weekly
service
to
the
Queen
Charlotte
Islands
was
the
idea
of
the
Union
Steamship

a
decided

objection
has

change

think
this
will
hold.
Prince
Rupert
merchants
are
able
to
command
a
great
deal
of
business

if
they
decided
to
give
all
their
business

a
rival

effect

the
business

the
company.
We
suggest
that
the
Prince
Rupert
Chamber
of
Commerce
should
at
an
early
date
discuss
these
matters
with
the
Union
Steamship
Company
with
a
view
to
securing
the
overhaulcontracts
for
this
city
when
the
time
comes
and
also
see
that
Prince
Rupert
is
always
considered
in
any
changes
of
schedule
that
may
be
made.

business
