The tremendous number of overseas messages to Canadians In active service and the increase generally in use of the telegram as a personal greeting have resulted in unprece dented volume of Christmas busin- ess, it was reported yesterday by J. O. Davles, general superintendent 'for Canadian National Telegraphs, I Western Region. I "The number of personal messages and money cables to Canadians j overseas is exceptional," Mr. Davles stated. "It seems as If everyone of them is being remembered In a practical way. Further Increase in business can be attributed to the fact that numerous commercial firms are now sending teleg.-aphic messages to business associates In place of cards.
