J. C. Jaekton spoke oh "Truths that the Old Tales Tell". People would do well to get- the spirit 6t these and, from a sympathetic understanding, get the confidence, truth and good cheer' that they brought In olden times and that were needed Just 88 muchtcday. There was need for something to live for. "Of His kingdom there shall be no end. He will carry us through the dark days aft'd even darker days that we may have to face." The spirit gave confidence when the Roman empire enslaved the world. It would give confidence to resist the modern attempt to dominate by force. It were well too If people could se "The Strange Light and hear the songs the Angels sang". Pec?l3 would be wise If they brought gifts as the wise men of Md did gifts of sacrifice, service and love so that there would in deed be peace among men of good will. The Romans raujrhed at the thought of "Peace on Earth" but 4hat song has Increased to a world-vide chorus since then. Well known Christmas hymns were enjoyed by the Congregation and the Choir sang splendidly m special numbers, the old English carol "What Child Is Thte?", with R. O. Large singing an effective descant; the chorus, "There Were Shepherds" m which the solos were finely sung by Mrs. H. T. Lock; and Dr. R. O. Large giving & splen did Interpretation of "The First Christmas Morn." j Funeral Notice Members of Canadian Legion B, ESIj., please attend the funeral of (our late comrade R. T.
