Not many places are so blessed as Prince Rupert in having , a wonderfully attractive summer resort near at hand such as that at Terrace. Just now the most interesting attraction is the lakeshore at Lakelse but it is not the only place in the district that is attractive. There is Kalum Lake, for instance, that will be developed later and there are also the various river banks and lakesides. What makes Lakelse rather distinctive is the hot-springs half a' mile or so from the lake at Lakeise. The whole year round this spring bubbles up and could be used to heat a large hotel building or a fine outdoor swimming bath'. If Prince Rupert had it, it would be worth a million dollars. Some people like to spend the holidays on a farm or doing a little trout fishing, the Lakelse and Kalum trout being particularly sporting. There are very few places in the north country more ftfvorftbly situated and so attractive as Terrace. This Is Army Day- - - In view of the fact that the Rocky Mountain Rangers are likely to be leaving Prince Rupert soon the Army Day demonstrations being carried out by that unit today will have special significance. The exercises take place this afternoon and visitors are being entertained at the men's dining rooms. Army Day is being featured all over the . Dominion as one feature of the bier recruitiner camoaiirn which is being carried out everywhere on the continent ana is expected to cjose very soon.
