At Hartley Bay on 'Friday last, Mr and Mrs. Heber Tfllf ton celebrated their golden wedding. They married ln Port Simpson, Mrs. Clifton having been MU Lucy Buxton. The wedding took place at Port Simpson because there was no minister closer. The late Rev. Dr. Thomas Crosby officiated. The festivities took the form of a dinner given to the entire village. Congratulations were extended to the couple by speakers representing various organizations. Many friends from Prince Rupert and other points on the coast sent their felicitations to the chief and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton have nine children living five sons and four daughters.
