Hoots Built With Years of Guaranteed Sturdiness . . . and Priced Up, From DAILY EDITION New shipment of "Jack and Jills" Family shoe store ltD. "The Home of Good Shoes" EDITORIAL TUESDAY, NOV. 18, 1941 The Army "Has Everything" . . . The army CAN be "sold" to the people, says the Prince George Citizen. It "has everything." It has better opportunities for ambitious men. In spite of the uncombatted publicity of the air force, the army offers greater scope for technical expertness, and offers more varied and useful technical education. The operations of the army require more executive ability and greater organizing power. For the man in search of an interest, even the infan try one might say justly, especially the infantry of today offers him a training of absorbing interest, varied, technical, co-operative, co-ordinative, to an extent far beyond that any other service, or any civilian industry, can offer. dn romantic interest, the glorious history and com ing importance of the army much outranks the fine but necessarily restricted activities of the others. Many of the disabilities which at first attended enlistment in the army have been removed; others are in the course of reform. Let the young men of Canada make no mistake. While the other services now are bearing the brunt of detensive action, the Canadian army will be the spearhead of the Allied triumph. And anyone who thinks the Canadian army cannot be "sold" to the people of Canada because of the particular color of its uniform or because of past failures to do so, not only misjudges the people of Canada, but also fails to see the opportunity to do a grand "selling job" with the finest "merchandise" in the world.
