OFFICERS ARE HELD TOBLAME Admiral and General Responsible For Pearl Harbor Catastrophe U.S. Fired First Shot WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 Some congressmen are urging the court-martial of Admiral Husband Kim-mell and General Walter Short who have been found solely responsible through "errors of Judgment" for the unpreparedness at the time of the attack upon Pearl Harbor base In Hawaii by the Japanese on December 7. Both officers have been accused of dereliction of duty and lack of co-operation in the finding of a committee of investigation which was made pubic Saturday night. It has been disclosed that it was actually United States destroyer which fired the first shots In the American-Japanese war. The destroyer located a midget two-man Japanese submarine in Pearl Harbor waters and sent the vessel to the bottom. Nels Larsen of Vanderhoof Dies Well Known Nechako Valley Farmer Passes Away Son and Daughter Leaving Here The death took place at 1 o'clock this morning at Vanderhoof of Nels Larsen, well known farmer of that district and also well known as a visitor here. He is survived by one son Herbert and two daughters Mrs. Peter Peterson and Mrs. Nels Jensen in Prince Rupert and two daughters in Vanderhoof.
