PETER'S Mis Anne Sorensen Is Beautiful Bride of Harold Hampton A beautiful marriage of much local interest was solemnized at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, Thursday evening when Miss Anne Gurine Sorensen, eldest daughter of Mr. and. Mrs. Hans Sorensen, became the bride of Harold Leslie Hampton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abel Hampton of Vancouver. The lovely bride entered the church upon the arm of her brother, Ole Sorensen, by whom she was given In marriage. The bridesmaid was Miss Selvig Sorensen and the groomsman, George Vier-cck. The bride was gowned In pure white sheer georgette with three-quarter net veil arranged in Norwegian style. Her shower bouquet was of pink roses and carnations. The bridesmaid wore sheer pink and carried pink carnations. During the signing of the resetter Mrs. Ole Wick sang "Because." Sergeant Robert Townsend of the Royal Canadian Engineers was organist. Following the ceremony there was a reception at the Boston Cafe. The happy couple received the congratulations and best wishes of many friends under sliver wedding bells in an attractive bower. P. H. Linzey was master of ceremonies and gave a witty, tasteful and complimentary address. The toast to the bride was proposed in happy vein by Canon W. F. Rush-brook, being responded to by the bridegroom. Harold Ponder proposed a toast to the bridesmaid to which the groomsman responded. A handsome three-tier wedding cake was duly cut by the bride. A feature of the proceedings was the introdurtion of William Lamb who. on behalf of Toe H, gave a pleas ing address, extolling the qualities of the groom and presenting the couple with a beautiful clock. Dancing brought the evening to a close. Mr. and Mrs. Hampton will re side in Prince Rupert. . j The Y.M.C-A. programs, former-! ly held on Sunday nights, have now been changed to Friday nights.
