The board of school trustees is well justified j in its discontent over this situation and in its anxiety to have it cleared up with the least delay possible. The grounds there never were any too good but now there are practically none whatever. To have the grounds used as a lumber yard and as a running ground for large trucks seems almost inexcusable. It will be difficult to establish that there has been really such an emergency as to make it justifiable. Apart from denying the school pupils any outdoor facilities whatever, there is menace to their life and timb. The Canadian steel strike would appear to be un-i pardonable at this critical war time.
