Their mishaps enable them to poke fun at themselves, without detracting from the importance of the service they represent. Turned down by the armed forces, the partners become wardens. Their blunders in first aid, in which they truss Howard Freeman up and almost kill him, don't help , their situation any. Then they run afoul of Edgar Kennedy, who refuses to co-operate in a blackout, in a hilarious routine that gets them thrown out of service. But when they fall into the hands of a gang of saboteurs, headed by Henry O'Neill, they blunder for once into the correct, thing to do and emerge as heroes. Jacqueline White, new screen beauty, and Horace McNally provide young romance. Funmak-ers include Donald Meek and Nella Walker.
