earth

another
bombing
season
is
on,
in
Chungking.
Throughout
the
summer
and
into
the
fall,
residents
of
this
Chinese
city,
most
bombed
spot
on
earth,
can
expect
daily
visits
by
waves
of
Japanese
bombers.
Relief

to
them
by
the
Chinese
war
relief
fund.

Rupert
Campaign
Opens
On
Monday,
Canadian
admiration
for
China
and
for
the
Chinese
people
is
unbounded.
Now,
through
the
first
national
appeal
of
the
Chinese
War
Relief
Fund,
that
admiration
can
be
turned
into
a
dollar-and-ccnts
assistance
for
the
people
who
have
stood
up
against
Japanese
fury,
superior
arms,
famine
and
disease
for
six
years.
The
money
now
being
contributed
from
coast
to
coast
in
this
Dominion
will
help
to
raise
China's
countless
war
orphans,
to
educate
the
thousands
of
young
men
and
women
in
whose
intelligent
hands
lies
much
of
China's
future,
to
buy
medical
supplies
which
will
be
flown
to
China
by
bomber
through
arrangement
of
the
British
authorities
with
the
Chinese
Government.

The
Chinese
War
Relief
Fund
has
set
an
objective
of
one
million
dollars
for
this,
its
first,
national
appeal.
British
Columbia
is
asked
to
raise
$100,000
Prince
Rupert,
$5,000.
Canadian
generosity
and
Canadian

towards
China
and
the
Chinese
will
sec
these
objectives
reached
and
passed.
