Oustave Hjalmar Tycho was born in Sweden on November 20. 1831, and came to Canada when a young man of 24 years. He was In the merchant marine-ser vice In Canada from 1905 to 1010 and then went to Kenora where he entered the employ of the Canadian Pacific Railways as plant Inspector of telegraphs. Wood Fuel In 1921 on January 4 Mr. Tycho married Miss Gertrude O. A. Erecsson at Smlthers and they have two sons, Pilot Officer Norman Tycho of the Royal Canadian Air Force, overseas. and Eric Tycho at home. Deceased is- survived also by his father In Sweden and a brother Even Tycho, In Seattle. Mr. Tycho was a well known and efficient official and his pleasant and friendly nature made him friends all along, the 'Ine from Vancouver to Prince Rupert. He became 111 about a' year ago and was taken to Vancouver last spring for medical attention. It was recognized that there was little could be done for him and he returned home where he made partial recovery for a time but recently was obliged to go to hospital where he passed away.
