Tonight's train, due from the east at 10:45, was reported this morning to be thirty minutes late. O. M. Christie of Wartime Housing left this afternoon for a trip to Vancouver. Tom Athans, local restaurant proprietor, returned to the city yesterday from a trip to E. P. Jenner, formerly of the local Canadian National Railways wharf freight department, Is returning to the city shortly from Victoria, where he has been residing for the past year, to take up relief duty here for a time. Mr, and Mrs. W. W. Wrathall and daughter, Vivian, returned to the city the latter part of last week after a holiday visit to Hazelton where they resided in the very early days. What might have been a tragedy, but turned -out to be near comedy, occurred yesterday morning when we decided to take a picture of all the "Y" lupervlsors after the weekly staff meeting. Being the first really sunny day In weeks we all went across the street and started' posing. Out of sheer generosity I offered to take the picture and was waiting while the boys arranged themselves tastefully on the sidewalk and in the rear of the group on a small walk over a deep ditch.
