We heartily commend the work which you have done through the pages of your newspaper in bringing- to your readers a word picture which otherwise a slight turn of the head serves as a valid excuse for "I have never seen it." That conditions have greatly improved in this city in the past few months is a generally accepted fact. That doesn't mean though that all effort must be concluded. It is really a pleasure to hear a quite general comment in regard to the very noticeable change. On behalf of the Ministerial Association of Prince Rupert would you through the pages of your paper bring to the attention of the public especially in the Rushbrook Heights' area the fact that a Community Sunday School is to be operated in the East End Hall on Sunday afternoons beginning on March 21. The respect of an individual rests upon his moral and spiritual foundation. So may we as citizens together with those who are here because of war work give every support for the direction of youthful minds and hearts in this area which is quite far removed from the various churches. By DOROTIIV GARBUTT The Hostess I hf ar that Hec Mackenzie's special regiment Is going all out for their big formal on Monday night at the Empress. All the junior hostesses have been provided with their own special partners and refreshments are going to be served at little tables around the hall. It's really going to be something, so Hec tells me. The YAy.CA. chap-erones for the evening" will be Mrs. Lamb and Mrs. Adcock. Then t the end of next Week, Friday to be exact, the Falrview boys are giving one of their dances out at their quaiters., All Juniors are Invited to attend and are to of gas? "Boy, what a relief!" Men ia all the services say it with sighs of satisfaction as they light Sweet Caps after arduous duties anywhere, every wheie from Alaska to the Near East soldiers, sailors, airmen. Relief! It is Sweet Caps' prime service in war time to bring relief to warriors , , . And they do it so delightfully that they are the most popular cigarvtles with Canadians over krc, over there, everywhere! , SWEET CAPORAL CIGARETTES "Tb fuicit form la wtikU totucrf) can be moked" occasionally your dealer h out of Sweet Cape, We because the demand for overeea in ea great and eoineietent. Remember the fun we had last time when Captain MacGregor took seven of us home and almost but not quite ran out And talking about our Junior hostesses, I think it's about time they came in lor a HtUe .thanks for the grand way they've turned out to the dances all winter. I over-heard a very nice comment on them "from a recent chaperone who had never been to the dances heretofore. She remarked upon their good behaviour and especially upon their co-operation. She said, although they were obviously danced off their feet, they accepted every dance pleasantly and aboye all played Vio favorites. I was very pleased to hear this from an observer of course I had known it all along myself but hadn't liked to boast. Nice going, girls! The latest innovation at the "Y" and one we should have had a long time ago is the "Lost and Found Article Box." So many things are left around and the astonishing thing Is that they are so rarely Maimed. I keep them a ceijlaln time and then dispose of them to the Red Cross salvage or to the Bundles for Britain scheme, so they end up by doing good for someone. Articles left in the ladles' room at the Empress after dances also find their way there as well.
