intention

establish
a
new
three-line
salmon
cannery
at
Port
Edward
was
the
most
interesting
development
of
the
past
week
in
local
fishery
and
waterfront
quarters.
Nelson
Bros,
had
to
leave
the
ocean
dock
here
last
spring
as
the
premises
there
were
needed
for
other
purposes.
They
have
been
assured
of
per
manent
security
of
tenure
in
the
new
site.
As
announced,
construction.

to
get
under
way
at
once
and
the
plant
is
to
be
ready
for
operation
this
season.
It
will
be
a
general
cannery
putting
up
salmon
in
the
summer
and
herring
in
the
winter.
