HWHHHKKKltHKHKHHHKHH Timely Recipes 4 cups rhubarb 3 tablespoons water Few grains salt 34 cup sugar. Wash rhubarb and cut into 1 inch pieces, do not peel. Pour boiling water over the rhubarb and allow to stand 5 minutes. Drain off all but 3 tablespoons of the water. Add salt. Cover closely and cook slowly until tender. Remove from the stove, add sugar, recover and let stand until cool, then stir gently. The rhubarb may be cooked in the top of a double boiler or baked in a very slow oven, 250-275 deg. F, about 30 minutes. The pieces of rhubarb retain their shape better if done this way.
