During his present visit here Mr. Faulkner will make preliminary inspection' preparatory to institution of repairs to th. long wharf at the northeast corner of Digby Island leading to the wireless station. On the Skeena River it has been planned for some time to build a new float and ice shear at Haysport but this ha3 been held up through the proposal to move the float to Tyee where the Prince Rupert Highway smarts its course up the Skcena River. Murray of Doughty has had the novel experience of having a moose calf born in his garden patch within sight of his farm home. Alex, keeps cow tethered out near the garden and the mother moose apparently was afraid that "Bossy" was trying to kidnap her offspring. She drove into her hard enough to break the tether and "Bossy" lost all Interest in proceedings in that immediate vicinity. Alex's young son thought It might be a good idea to pick up the moose calf but Alex, warned him that, he might suffer the same fate as the cow. Alex.
